What an incredibly busy couple of months we've had at Pro Mobile HQ. September is always a busy month as weddings are still in full swing and we also have the PLASA Show. And this year, we launched The Photobooth Expo – Europe, which took place two weeks after PLASA. And then of course, October is the month for BPM – The Show for DJs.

I’d like to start my profile piece by telling you how I got my first vinyl record. Back in the 1990s, Kellogs, the breakfast cereal company, used to put toys inside their cereal boxes. I used to get incredibly excited, opening a fresh box and scrambling around searching for a toy was a great way to start the day. On one occasion, they were giving away five different TV kids show theme tunes in the form of thin 7-inch vinyl stuck to the front of their boxes.

I had never been to BPM – The Show for DJs, and until this year, I hadn't attended very many DJ events of any type, and certainly not BPM. That was until, my very first Pro Mobile Conference in March and from that moment, everything changed. There was a lot of talk of BPM and I was determined to set aside the time I needed to give the show its full justice and I marked my calendar with a giant ‘BPM’ and started counting down the days.

I remember reading an article in Pro Mobile a few years ago from Rob Ferre when he mentioned the idea that we should be looking for opportunities to promote ourselves on local TV and radio.

The very first Photobooth Expo Europe (PBX) 2023 took place at Novotel London West in September. The show welcomed exhibitors and visitors from across the world, and as the first photo booth trade show in Europe since 2019, was extremely popular.
