Pro Mobile recently ran a competition offering one worthy mobile DJ a free place at the 2016 Pro Mobile Conference. And, after sifting through the entries to find the DJ with the best reason for attending the event, the team can now reveal its decision...

The man behind Shades Events, Shaun Easton, is our winner! He'll be heading to Oxfordshire later this month for a free weekend of networking and learning at the 2016 Conference, which will run from Sunday the 28th to Monday the 29th of February.

The competition asked for DJs to tell the Pro Mobile team – in no more than a tweet (140 characters) – why they should be awarded a free space at this year’s Conference! The response was excellent and the entries came flooding in, but it was Shaun’s quirky and creative entry which really stood out: “Music is my first love and it will be my last with two days of learning I'll be better than my past. Thanks for the opportunity."

Shaun will be given a Full Delegate place (including overnight accommodation and meals) at this year’s Conference, which takes place at the luxurious Crowne Plaza Hotel in Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire. The package, worth £445, will give him a unique chance to learn from world-class speakers, meet with like-minded DJs and generate new ideas for growing his business, during two days of focussed networking and learning.

“I never win things but I always have a go, as they say if you don’t enter then you don't have a chance,” said Shaun. “This is a fantastic prize to win, as it’s about what I do and enjoy most – I've won the DJ’s equivalent of the national lottery, thanks to you guys. I can’t believe it, I’m absolutely over the moon.”
